High-Speed Logic Processor
 Connect
up to 15 SEL-2505 Remote I/O Modules to one SEL-2100 Logic Processor.
Each module provides eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs.
Use SELOGIC® control
equations in the SEL-2100 to define the logic that executes in
the SEL-2100. Use remote digital inputs to calculate the values
for the digital outputs. The SEL-2100's internal logic process
is fast and deterministic. This means that all logic is processed
in 4 ms.

Application
- Sense contacts
at one location, and send them to multiple locations. For example,
sense level limit switches on the main tank with one SEL-2505,
which sends the information to the
SEL-2100. In turn, the SEL-2100 sends the limit-switch states to each of
seven SEL-2505 modules that are mounted with controllers for parallel processes
that send liquid into the main tank.
- Build high-speed
interlocking and remedial action schemes to prevent damage or
improve process availability. Sense pressure limit switches and
rupture discs on a chlorine tank. If a problem is detected, activate
evacuation procedures, and send information to SEL-2505 modules
located in the control cabinets, to adjust or stop processes
to close valves and stop mixing processes.
