SEL-2126 Fiber-Optic Transfer Switch
Quickly switch as many as 12 fiber-optic ports to reroute one or two digital communications links simultaneously. For general-purpose industry applications, the SEL-2126 Fiber-Optic Transfer Switch allows high-speed transparent communications and switching between different devices communicating through the optical IEEE C37.94 interface.
For power protection applications, use the SEL-2126 for redirecting protection data streams during circuit breaker or substation bypass operations. The SEL-2126 maintains high-speed line protection while rerouting local and remote fiber communications between six feeders and as many as two transfer relays.

Applications
- Preserve active fiber-optic communications links during bypass or maintenance operations, rather than disabling them
- Perform local or remote device testing by transferring both local and remote optical ports to the transfer ports
- Use the 16 digital inputs to control fiber-port routing, and use the two output contacts to report system status
- Transfer protection communications during circuit breaker bypass operations to as many as two transfer relays simultaneously on main-bus/transfer or single-breaker double-bus configurations.
- Transfer communications during substation-bypass operations, three-terminal line applications, and to maintain primary and backup communications links.
