/ IEEE C37.94 Interface Converter
Use the SEL-3094 interface converter as a fiber modem for synchronous
RS-422 or G.703 devices. A pair of SEL-3094s can be used to convert an
RS-422 device to a G.703 device. The fiber interface of the SEL-3094 complies with the IEEE C37.94 standard, allowing fiber connection directly
into compliant SONET or T1 multiplexers.

Use two SEL-3094s to emulate the synchronous channel provided by a SONET
or T1 multiplexer for DTE bench testing. In this application, all required
clock signals are provided by the SEL-3094. Side-by-side rack-mounting arrangement shown.
Convert 64 kbps electrical interfaces to IEEE C37.94 optical signals
for direct fiber connection into multiplexers with C37.94 compliant channel
interfaces.
Use the SEL-3094 to convert synchronous 64 kbps RS-422 electrical interface
to 64 kbps G.703 compliant data and back.
